HORIZONS Anonymous Program

What is HORIZONS Anonymous?

 
HORIZONS Anonymous is a peer–led therapeutic support group program specifically tailored to meet the unique individual and social needs of people who have been marginalized. The program is open to anyone over the age of 18 (parents/guardians must fill out this FULL form including parental consent section); regardless of their sexual orientation, religious orientation, religious beliefs, skin color, etc etc etc! We do not marginalize! We will not turn you away!

 
What specifically does the HORIZONS Anonymous program offer you?:

This program offers you the opportunity to join with others like yourself in a peer–led therapeutic support group setting similar to, but not exactly like, the AA and NA peer-based self-help programs. We meet at a safe location in a discreet support group setting. The support group itself is a relaxed atmosphere where you can talk about anything. There will of course be an intermission for the consumption of coffee, other beverages, snacks, and casual conversation.

 
All meetings are private and confidential. If you are in this HORIZONS Anonymous program you are safe. Nothing you say will go out of it and if it does we will prosecute the individual(s) responsible as well as the reporting agencies they've reported to - to the fullest extent of criminal and civil law. We have lawyers on standby to ensure that your privacy is absolute in accordance with the U.S.A. Constitution the U.S A.. Bill of Rights, and the state's rules and regulations.

Discreet transportation will be provided to and from all support group meetings as well as Recreational Activities.

 
Recreational Activities:

Additionally, the support groups will go on various Recreational Activities. Whatever the support group decides it wants to do it can do (when possible). If the support group decides it wants to go on a hike, fishing, camping, nature walk, skiing, boating, kayaking, rollerblading, bike riding, archery, going out to eat, going to the mall, going to the beach, enjoying the day or evening at the MGM Springfield casino, or just hanging out together. Because we are a tax-exempt non-profit organization we have access to various tickets at reduced or no cost. We can obtain everything from gift certificates for all sorts of venues, concert tickets, movie tickets, six flags tickets, circus tickets, tickets to the Big–E & Big–E fairground events, and more. All of this is made available as part of your membership.

 
The point is that members of HORIZONS Anonymous have fun and enjoy the companionship of like-minded individuals without being marginalized, judged, mocked, or in any way made to feel less of a person than everyone else.

 
Cost:

As is traditional with our nonprofit, the HORIZONS Anonymous program must be financially self-supporting. Our members are required to make a tax deductible donation of $20.00. This helps avoid any problems which may occur if our nonprofit suffers a major financial loss or slowdown. Our programs must keep running!

 
Therefore, there is a non-refundable $20 monthly membership fee. The $20 monthly membership fee covers everything including transportation to/from support group meetings as well as Recreational Activities, maintenance of said transportation, food and beverages for support group meetings, oversight and intervention by our lobbyists & attorneys (fighting for the rights of the marginalized), as well as other essentials for the successful running of the program. But if only a few people join up, there only be the amount of money collected from the active members to pay for program events.

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to do any type of free or reduce membership fee. The program cannot exist without the financial support of its individual members.
